Last minute spots up for grabs aboard the MangaluiNdulu

As the high season comes to a close throughout October and November a lucky few will be scoring some of the waves of the year. Typically when people think of Sumatran boat trips they get trapped in a mindset that the only time of year to get classic indo waves is in the depth of the mid year high season. This overall misconception has been a blessing for the Mangalui and the many who have had the trips of their lifetime in relatively empty Sumatran waters.

Although some people may think the swell is dropping in Indonesia in October and November many of our favorite spots will be lighting up as good as ever. With consistent swells still being blasted up from the roaring 40’s the entire archipelago is often hammered with 6ft plus swells. More often than not these swells result in perfect waves at our southwest facing breaks. With the highly experienced Mangalui surf guides starring the boat great waves are as likely as the ice cold Bintangs.

In contrast, springtime in Australia will see many breaks get hammered with a consistent run of sub waist high waves often married with solid run of northerly winds. So if you have a chance for a springtime getaway this year why not let Christmas come a little early and have the MangaluiNdulu make your year one you’ll never forget!
