“We had a week to get this trip together. One Tuesday, Soli Bailey, Swilly and I were down at D-Bah talking about the option, and the next Tuesday, we were on the plane. It was actually funny. I’ve done a few trips with Soli in the last couple of years, and we both have the same kind of surfing aspirations: basically getting the best waves we can. So we saw the forecast for Indonesia and thought, Oh my God, let’s go get barrelled. It’s getting cold in Oz right now, what better time to go and get a few warm water barrels.”
