Mangalui Summer Sessions
One of our favourite times of year these days is the summer season, characterised by great weather, fun waves and far less surfers.
It has been one of the industry’s best kept secrets for decades with only those in the know choosing to charter during this time of year.
Mentawai Islands have an array of swell magnets that can provide world class surf with minimal summer swell and we regularly score quality waves in the 4ft+ range at all the name breaks too. One thing is certain – you will surf your brains out every day during this period as per any other time of the year.
Between October & March most surf resorts and charter boats wind down operations leaving close to empty line-ups at popular locations up for grabs. For many of our Mangalui VIP’s it has been their favourite time of the year for a long time.
